KENTE-027 is a remarkable hand woven Kente textile whose luminous blue ground, intricate geometry and harmonious composition create an artwork of striking elegance and presence. Beautifully preserved and most likely woven in Ghana.

Hand woven by master Kente weavers using individually woven cotton strips joined by hand, KENTE-001 reflects one of West Africa’s most celebrated textile traditions. Its composition draws upon the classic visual language of Kente weaving, where repeated geometric motifs and carefully balanced bands of colour combine to create patterns of extraordinary rhythm and harmony. Measuring approximately 2.4 × 1.1 metres, this substantial textile is presented within a bespoke white frame and deep mount that accentuate its refined geometry and richly woven texture. While it can be displayed in either orientation, its panoramic proportions lend themselves especially well to a horizontal presentation. The cool blue field is punctuated by vibrant woven motifs that reveal ever greater intricacy on closer inspection, creating a work that rewards sustained viewing while celebrating the enduring dialogue between exceptional craftsmanship, cultural tradition and contemporary design.
